Volkswagen debuted the seventh generation of its Multivan . The vehicle is all new and makes an important leap forward in terms of quality & agrave; thanks to the decision to create it starting from the MQB platform, the same one also used by the Golf. And thanks to the new platform, the new T7 can & ograve; also count on a Plug-in motorization. Furthermore, the new model & egrave; more safe thanks to the latest advanced ADAS systems of the German brand. The latest incarnation of the & quot; Bulli & quot; it also has a lot of technology, with a modern infotainment. Prices not yet disclosed.

DESIGN AND INTERIORS

Volkswagen has evolved the classic look of the Bulli making it much more; modern but preserving its originality. The new Multivan T7 measures 4,973 mm long x 1,941 mm wide (without mirrors) x 1,903 mm high, with a wheelbase of 3,124 mm. The “long” version comes to measure 5,173 mm. The designers also worked a lot on the aerodynamics which features a Cx of 0.3. In the basic version, the Multivan offers a capacity; cargo of 469 liters behind the third row of seats, with cargo stowed up to the roof; loaded up behind the second row of seats, the volume increases to 1,844 liters.
By exploiting all the capacity; of load behind the first row of seats and up to the roof, we get 3,672 liters. For the long variant, we have, respectively, 763, 2,171 and 4,005 liters. For the first time, the T7 & egrave; also available with panoramic glass roof. Another novelty; absolute for the Multivan are the LED Matrix IQ.LIGHT headlights . Speaking of the interiors, Volkswagen has done a great job to make them even better; practical and welcoming. All this, while also offering a lot of technology. The T7 can accommodate up to 7 passengers on board and offers modular space. We find, in fact, only single seats, even for the third row. This choice allows you to move the seats at will according to your needs. Easy operation thanks to a new track system on the floor.
On the technology front, the new Multivan T7 features the connected infotainment Ready 2 Discover which offers the ; access to a range of digital services. Then we find the digital instrumentation. On request you can & ograve; have the Head-up display.
ENGINES AND SECURITY 
Volkswagen says the new Multivan T7 will be; launched on the market with two TSI turbo petrol engines with 136 hp (100 kW) and 204 hp (150 kW). The real news & egrave; the eHybrid version with Plug-in powertrain capable of delivering 218 hp (160 kW) combined with a 6-speed DSG gearbox. The battery is of 13 kWh for an electric-only distance of just under 50 km. On the TSI versions & egrave; instead, a 7-speed DSG gearbox was adopted. Next year will come; also a unit & agrave; diesel with 150 HP (110 kW).
On the safety front , among other things, we find the Front Assist perimeter control including the City emergency braking, the steering assistant with a new turning assistance system, the recognition of road signs and the Lane Assist lane maintenance system. Among the new systems also available Car2X, protection of the sides, Side Wind Assist, turn assistance system, exit assistant (an integral part of the Side Assist) which, when the doors are opened, warns if they are approaching from behind bicycles or vehicles, and IQ.DRIVE Travel Assist , which allows partially automated driving up to a speed; 210 km/h.
