Renault Megane E-Tech Electric: first teaser of the electric crossover

Renault , during an event in which it reiterated its strategy for the future, showed a first image of the Megane E-Tech Electric , a new electric crossover that is expected to be unveiled by the end of the year. Of this model, the manufacturer already had; unveiled in October 2020 the concept that had been called Megane eVision. The teaser allows you to appreciate a part of the rear of the new battery-powered car. In addition, two further teasers have been shared that anticipate what it will be like; the cockpit setting.

Starting with the new electric crossover, Renault will modify & agrave; the interior design which will be much more; modern and technological. The teaser images allow us to note that the cockpit of future French cars will present; a large vertical screen for the infotainment that will be connected perfectly to a large horizontal panel of the digital instrumentation. The new Megane E-Tech Electric, therefore, will be able to & agrave; rely on a similar setting.

The third teaser, as mentioned at the beginning, allows you to observe a part of the rear of the electric car. Note the new logo and the luminous signature of the optical groups. Lines that overall do not differ much from those of the concept. As far as the technical specifications are concerned, it is not possible to do other than refer to what was communicated at the time of the prototype presentation.


The electric crossover pogger & agrave; on the new CMF-EV platform developed by the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance. This is the same used by the Nissan Ariya. The powertrain & egrave; composed of an electric motor capable of delivering 160 kW with a torque of 300 Nm. powered by a 60 kWh battery that should allow a range of up to 450 km. According to Renault, the accumulator will be able to recharge in direct current up to a power of 130 kW (in alternating current up to 22 kW).

On the performance front, the manufacturer has stated that 100 km/h will be reached in less than 8 seconds . Recently, this car was intercepted on the road, disguised, during some road tests. All that remains, therefore, is to wait for further news of this model which is; key to Renault's relaunch strategy.
