The desktop processors Ryzen 5 5600X, Ryzen 7 5800X, Ryzen 9 5900X and 5950X from the Ryzen 5000 series (test) based on Zen 3 require firmware of the type AMD AGESA ComboAM4v2PI 1.0.8.0 or higher. The following mainboards with the chipsets B450, X470, A520, B550 (test) and X570 meet this requirement.
AGESA ComboAM4v2PI 1.1.0.0 already Standard
While a majority of the mainboard manufacturers used their motherboards to present the desktop processors of the Ryzen 5000 type alias Vermeer with the initial firmware versions AGESA ComboAM4v2PI 1.0.8.0, 1.0.8.1 and 1.08.3, which are the basic requirements for the operation of Zen 3 is, have delivered, AGESA ComboAM4v2PI 1.1.0.0 has predominantly prevailed and eliminates the last compatibility problems between the AM4 mainboards and Zen 3 CPUs.

ASRock publishes AGESA ComboAM4v2PI 1.1.0.0 for X470
In the meantime, ASRock has also released the new firmware AGESA ComboAM4v2PI 1.1.0.0 for the majority of its mainboards with the X470 chipset, making it fit for AMD Ryzen 5000 based on Zen 3. New BIOS from Asus with AGESA ComboAM4v2PI 1.1.8.0
Asus has meanwhile upgraded all of its mainboards with B450, X470, B550 and X570 chipsets with the new BIOS versions 1401, 2409, 3001, 3003, 4007 and 5809 to the current AGESA ComboAM4v2PI 1.1.8.0 firmware with Curve Optimizer updated for better overclocking and undervolting.

Gigabyte with AGESA ComboAM4v2PI 1.1.0.0 Patch D
After Gigabyte withdrew various BIOS updates with AGESA ComboAM4v2PI 1.1.0.0 Patch C and replaced them with Patch D, these have now also been found in the BIOS overview of ComputerBase.
For the mainboards with B450 and X470 chipset, versions F60e have been added, while the PCHs A520 and B550 (test) have been updated with F11n. Motherboards with X570-PCH received the new patch D with F31o.
ASRock with BIOS updates for A320, B350 and X370
ASRock has released experimental BIOS updates with AGESA ComboAM4v2PI 1.1.0.0 and support for Ryzen 5000 based on Zen 3 for its mainboards with A320, B350 and X370 chipsets. These can be obtained from Reddit.

MSI is rolling out AGESA ComboAM4v2PI 1.1.0.0 Patch D for B450 and X470 “p> text -width “>MSI has started to roll out the AGESA ComboAM4v2PI 1.1.0.0 Patch D firmware for its regular B450 and X470 mainboards without the MAX suffix.
In addition to the new firmware, Resizable BAR alias AMD Smart Access Memory also find its way onto mainboards with older chipsets. The function can also be activated on processors of the type Zen + and Zen 2.

Asus rolled out AGESA ComboAM4v2PI 1.1.9.0
Asus has also started rolling out AGESA ComboAM4v2PI 1.1.9.0 and distributing the first BIOS versions with the new firmware. In addition to the new operating software specially designed for Zen 3, the manufacturer would also like to have improved the graphical user interface, the RAID functions and the system performance.

New AGESA for X570 and B550 at Asus
The rollout of AGESA ComboAM4v2PI 1.1.9.0 is currently running at Asus for the X570 and B550 chipsets. In addition to the ROG Crosshair VIII Hero, Hero WiFi, Dark Hero, Formula and Impact models, the TUF Gaming B550M-Plus and TUF Gaming B550M-Plus WiFi have now also received a corresponding beta BIOS.

MSI brings AGESA v2 1.1.9.0 for B450, X470, B550 and X570
MSI has now announced that it will update all of its mainboards with the B450, X470, B550 and X570 chipset to the latest AGESA ComboAM4v2PI 1.1.9.0 firmware by the end of January 2021 at the latest.
After the MAG B550M Mortar and MAG B550M Mortar WIFI, there are now beta BIOSes for the MEG X570 Unify, MEG X570 Godlike, MEG B550 Unify (X) and MPG B550 Gaming Edge WIFI released.
In addition to an improved curve optimizer for the overclocking and undervolting of Zen 3 processors, the new firmware should be Ryzen 5000 series already contain the first optimizations for the resizable BAR (reader test) expected soon on Nvidia GPUs.
The corresponding links to the new BIOS versions with AGESA ComboAM4v2PI 1.1.9.0 were made already included in the overview of BIOS updates.

AGESA ComboAM4v2 1.2.0.0 and 1.2.0.1 added
In the meantime almost all manufacturers have updated their mainboards with BIOS updates and AGESA ComboAM4v2 1.2.0.0.
Now that AMD has already introduced the new, corrected firmware AGESA ComboAM4v2 1.2.0.1 and MSI has published the first five BIOS updates, the editorial team has updated the overview and now only runs BIOS Versions with version 1.2.0.0 or higher.

AGESA Combo AM4v2PI 1.2.0.x finally on a broad front
With the active support and numerous tips from the ComputerBase forum community, the editors have brought the BIOS and AGESA overview up to date.
A multitude of new ones BIOS versions with updated firmware were linked and entered in the overview.
Asus, ASRock, Biostar, Gigabyte and MSI now have almost every popular AM4 mainboard with B450 and X470 as well as B550 and X570 chipset updated to at least AGESA Combo AM4v2PI 1.2.0.0.
AGESA ComboAM4v2PI 1.2.0.1 is already available for many of the motherboards or even 1.2.0.2, partly still in beta.
