Owners of an electric Polestar 2 will now be able to pass the time while charging the car by watching broadcasts streaming through the large infotainment screen. Polestar, in fact, has announced the launch of an application that will allow; to access some video content. in-car entertainment is an aspect that several car manufacturers are working on. The application developed by Polestar & egrave; still in beta . The manufacturer aims to receive feedback from car owners in order to improve the development of this new application dedicated to entertainment. Obviously, the streaming video can only be viewed, for safety reasons, when the car & egrave; parked . However, in case you are watching something when you reboot, if the streaming is not going to be; interrupted by the user, the images will obviously no longer be; show but will continue playing audio. At the moment, the channels available within the app are not many. Polestar makes it known that it will be possible to have access to content from SVT in Sweden, TV2 in Norway and GOPlay and RTBF in Belgium. In addition, European customers will also be able to access BBC Ideas, Al Jazeera English and tagesschau in German. The manufacturer does however let it be known that more channels will be added in the future.
For the moment it is not; Mention was made of the integration of paid streaming services such as Netflix. However, as the constructor suggests, it is not; a problem insert new solutions in the infotainment. Polestar then wanted to underline something very important. The traffic generated from the streaming is; included in the car data plan. This means no additional costs for Polestar 2 owners.
