BMW debuted the iX3 only last summer and so it can be; it seems strange that the constructor is already; working on the restyling . In fact, spy photos of the electric SUV update have been around for some time. The fact is; that the BMX X3 will soon be updated and therefore probably the car manufacturer aims to offer the electric model with the same novelties; that will arrive on the endothermic one. Moreover, the iX3 would lose interest if it could not immediately have the new features that will debut on the X3.
Aesthetically, however, the restyling will bring; just some design refinements , especially at the front, without any distortion. Small news there should also be for the interior where BMW's latest generation infotainment could debut. The update of the X3 is expected to be presented by the end of the year. The electric variant should arrive a few months later.

The current powertrain should not be modified to provide more power. Thus, we will always have a single electric motor capable of delivering 210 kW/286 hp with a maximum torque of 400 Nm. Performance shouldn't change either. The speed maximum will be & agrave; always of 180 km/h with a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds. There are hardly any news; also on the battery front which should continue to offer a capacity; 80 kWh (74 kWh usable). The autonomy, therefore, should always be 460 km according to the WLTP cycle .
It will arrive & agrave; also a double engine version? BMW never mentioned this possibility. Although the latest spy photos of the restyling of the iX3 show a model with some elements typical of the M Performance versions, it seems unlikely that the manufacturer has decided to introduce a more variant; performance with double engine and four-wheel drive. With such a configuration, the iX3 would come too close to the iX.
In any case, there will be; time to understand the direction that the development of the restyling of the iX3 is taking since the debut is still some time away. Therefore, one cannot & ograve; do nothing but wait for the arrival of new information.
