The Comic book community mourned the loss this year of both “Spiderman”artist Stephen Ditko, as well as to its Creator Stan Lee. Dolores O’riordan succeeded with her Band, The Cranberries in the 1990s, a worldwide hit. “Zombie” was a protest song against the conflict in Northern Ireland, and remained the biggest success of the Band. After a suicide attempt, a bipolar disorder had been diagnosed in O’Riordan in 2013, in January of 2018, she drowned in a Hotel bathtub. The autopsy showed alcohol poisoning, with 3.3 per thousand. O’riordan was 46 years old.

Pioneers: indie rock, TV entertainment

The Name Richard Swift is less known, the musician and composer, had an extreme influence on the indie rock scene of the present. The Multi-Instrumentalist has played in Bands like The Shins and The Arcs and accompanied the Black Keys on Tour. At the age of 41, he died of the consequences of his alcohol dependency.
