The Champions League game between Paris St. Germain and red star Belgrade (6:1) at 3. October, has come under the suspicion of betting manipulation. The French news Agency AFP reported on Friday citing a case close to the source. Earlier, the French sports newspaper “L’equipe had reported”.
Accordingly, a high-ranking representative of the Serbian club have wagered in the run-up to the game about five million euros to the fact that his own Team will lose with five goals difference. The European football Union UEFA had been alerted then, a few days prior to the game, and have handed the case to the French authorities. The local Prosecutor’s office initiated an investigation.
