“Who eats it, is political” – The harvest festival is in worship from Hennef to Essen.

The Apostle Paul writes to his comrades-in-arms Timothy: Everything God has created is good. We can accept it gratefully. When we thank, we show: It comes from God. But as people in God’s creation of life has changed since biblical times. There are greenhouses and meat factories. The most a buy in the supermarket. Thanksgiving celebrations today – how’s that? Be grateful – and yet conscious shopping and eating. Be free and ask, what corresponds Most closely to the Christian Faith. Pastor Frank Küchler suggests in his sermon, on a voluntary self-limitation of thinking. He casts a critical eye on the treatment of animals and says: It is not a private matter, what we eat. What we buy as consumers has consequences: “he Who eats, is political.”
The city of Hennef is located on the victory, to the East of Bonn, between Bergischem country and Western forest. The “city of a hundred villages”, such as Hennef is fondly called, is actually over a hundred villages, the area is dominated by agriculture. The Protestant parish invites you on Sunday in Christ Church, located in the city centre. The worship service for harvest festival will be musically designed by Eckart Brüntjen on the organ, as well as Friederike Wolfframm, flute, and Hartwig Wolfframm, Cello. Pastor Frank Küchler also runs through the Liturgy.
