Rumor: Microsoft will stop using the brand names Nokia and Windows Phone

Internal documents, it would appear that Microsoft is planning to no longer use the brand names Nokia and Windows Phone. In a promotional campaign for the holidays, Microsoft hopes the ‘transition’ to the replacements Lumia and Windows to complete.

That sets GeekOnGadgets, that insight has been given in the internal documents of Microsoft. According to The Verge, the documents the site in the hands has been authentic. The brand name of Nokia comes as the messages knocking to expire. Instead, Microsoft wants to probably be using the Lumia brand name, which is used for the smartphones of the former Nokia. With the brand name Windows Phone for the mobile operating system, the suffix ‘phone’ in the future omitted. Also the logo will be replaced.

According to the documents where GeekOnGadgets about have going there during the promotions for the holidays on the schedule will no longer be referenced to the brand names Nokia and Windows Phone. Moreover, there were recently been promotional videos from Microsoft to the outside with Windows in place of Windows Phone was called.

Previously there were already rumors out that Microsoft has its own brand Surface wants to drop in favor of Lumia. Microsoft would already been looking to brand names to ‘streamlinen’.
