Nintendo has eur 2.82 million copies of Mario Kart 8 sold and the sales of the Wii U is compared to last year, with 219 percent, but these figures were not sufficient to prevent a loss for the Japanese gamebedrijf to avoid.

Nintendo has in the past three months 510.000 Wii U’s were sold, an increase of 219 percent compared to last year and also an increase of 310,000 Wii U consoles in the first quarter of 2013 over the counter went. The growth is partly explained by the release of Mario Kart 8: Nintendo sold that title since the release at the end of may 2,82 million times. This is evident from the quarterly results of the company. That means that 80 percent of the buyers of Mario Kart 8, a Wii U had.

Nintendo also sold 820.000 copies of its 3DS handheld. The turnover of the group decreased by 8.4 percent in a year to 74,7 billion yen, the euro 545 million. The loss of the Japanese company came out on 9,92 billion yen, or 72 million euros. Nintendo expects to still 3.6 million Wii U’s to sell in its current fiscal year, that at the end of march 2015 ends. Including Super Smash Bros and Skylanders-like Amiibo-figures to ensure this.
