Canon brings in August new superzoomcompactcamera’s

Canon has two new PowerShot cameras announced: the PowerShot SX400 IS and the SX520 HS. In both cases it is an ultra-bridgemodellen with compact dimensions. Canon puts the cameras in August in the shelves.

The PowerShot SX520 HS boasts 42x optical zoom for a range of converted 24-1008mm and the aperture value is f/3.4-f/6.0. Furthermore, the advanced bridge camera with a 16-megapixelsensor and iso range of 100 to 3200. This model features a 3″screen with 461.000 pixels and a stereo microphone. The successor of the SX510 HS can photo shoot at 2fps and video in 1080p format at 30fps. The maximum shutter speed is 15 seconds and minimum is that 1/2000 of a second. The dimensions are 20x82x92mm and the weight is 441 grams. The camera will be out in early August, available for 279 euros.

Something lower on the ladder, the PowerShot SX400 IS, which is also a 16-megapixelsensor, but this combines with a zoom range of only 24-720mm or 30x optical zoom. The aperture value is f/3.4-f/5.8. The resolution of the 3″screen with 230,000 dots is also somewhat lower. The minimum and maximum shutter speeds are respectively set to 1/1600 to 15 seconds and continuous can shoot at 1fps. Video can record at 1280×720 pixels at up to 25fps, and in place of a stereo microphone, there is a mono-variant. This camera is with 104x69x80mm still more compact, the weight is 313 grams is also lower and with the price of 199 euros is also the price is lower.

Both devices feature Canon’s DIGIC 4+image processor on board and make the Intelligent functionality of the business use for the image stabilization. Compared to previous advanced bridge camera’s Canon has, among others, the grip is adjusted.
