Acer Chromebook 13 with Tegra K1 and full hd display from september available

Acer has launched the Chromebook 13 is officially announced. The laptop with an Nvidia Tegra K1-soc is available in four variants, with a choice of a 13.3″ hd or full-hd screen. The laptops are from september in the Netherlands available with prices starting at 299 euro.

Last month, I went into all of the necessary specifications of the new generation Chromebooks from Acer, but the manufacturer has since the laptop with model number CB5 officially introduced. The laptop is in four variants available. So the user can make the choice to get two cheaper models with a 13.3″display that has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels, 2GB ram and a choice of 16GB or 32GB of emmc storage. Two more expensive Chromebook 13 models offer full-hd screens with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Here, too, the choice between 16GB or 32GB of internal storage.

The 1.5 kg heavy Chromebooks offer a battery of 48Wh according to the manufacturer, a battery life up to 13 hours for the model with hd screen. At a full-hd screen the laptop for up to 11 hours of full. This would be possible thanks to the energy-efficient quad-core Tegra K1 soc from Nvidia. The processor is also passively cooled which makes the laptop according to Acer completely silent operates. The Chromebook 13 also features two usb 3.0 connectors, an sd card reader and an hdmi output. Internet communications is 802.11 ac-wi-fi.

Acer late Tweakers know that the Chromebook 13 in the Netherlands from mid-september will be available. The list price of the cheapest model, with an hd screen combined with 16GB storage and 2GB ram, will be 299 euros. The prices of the other models has Acer not released yet, but could, in the short term is still available.
