T-Mobile increases download speeds for subscribers to 15Mbit/s

T-Mobile increases the maximum download speed of all its mobile subscribers to 15 megabits per second, so has the provider published. The higher speed will cost nothing extra, but also the data limits will remain unchanged.

Customers with a subscription – no prepaid customers – get the speed increase in the coming weeks, promises the telecom provider. The speed increase applies to a million customers who are now still under the 15Mbit/s to sit.

By the end of July, all customers will automatically be transferred; who has the higher speed limit, be informed accordingly. T-Mobile signs that the speed of 15 megabits depending on the user’s device; older smartphones do not always have support for 4g or the faster 3g variant, which is needed to 15Mbit/s to achieve.

The speed of 15 megabits per second for download; the upload speed for all subscribers to a maximum of 3Mbit/s. Only the speeds are increased; to the rest of the terms changes nothing, says T-Mobile spokesman Eric Dekker. That also means customers their data limit: if they pass, lowers, T-Mobile the speed to 64kbit/s.
