Samsung SD850 monitor for business users announced. The device is available in two versions: one with 27″screen and a 32″screen. Both models have the WQHD resolution of 2560×1440 pixels.
The S27D850 features a pls panel, Samsung’s ips-alternative. The S32D850 has a va-panel. Despite the difference in panel, claims to Samsung for the screens viewing angles of 178 degrees and 100 percent representation of the sRGB color space. The grey-to-grey response time is 5ms.
However, there is a difference in screen brightness: that is, when the S27D850 350cd/m2, while the larger S32D850 300cd/m2. In addition, the contrast ratio of the 27″monitor 1000:1, while these in the 32″variant of 3000:1 or higher. Both devices feature displayport 1.2, hdmi 1.4 and dvi-dl and there are four usb 3.0 ports and an audio interface.
Further, the screens rotate, are height adjustable and the tilt and there is a picture-by-picture mode that images from various sources can show. The S27D850 is 599 euros in costs, the S32D850 costs 100 euros more and go for 699 euros over the counter.
