The in Haarlem, the netherlands-based publishing company ReShift Digital, a publisher of Computer Idee, Power Unlimited, PCM, InsideGamer and Gamer.nl acquired by Sanoma. With Power Unlimited all in-house ReShift Digital now the three large game-media in the Netherlands in its portfolio.
Gamer.nl and InsideGamer will, by 1 August move to ReShift, as the editors of Gamer.nl Thursday known. What is the impact of the acquisition on the area of the staff of both sites is not yet published, though according to a video on InsideGamer same people the sites. It is clear, however, that ReShift will invest in the renewal of both websites.
With Power Unlimited, Gamer.nl and InsideGamer put ReShift Digital, three large game-media under one roof. According to ReShift publisher Raimon Gort provides that particular benefits: “We have a lot of ideas about how the sites all of them can strengthen and we’re going to link to the ideas of the team. Which has finally, the experience with the community and the people behind it,” said Gort in a statement. The acquisition is the first major expansion of ReShift Digital, in the autumn of 2013 was established as a continuation of the bankrupt Haarlem Uitgeefbedrijf or HUB.
Gamer.nl and InsideGamer were both in 2006, acquired by Sanoma Uitgevers. Initially heard Gamer at Sanoma Men’s Magazines-branch and was a majority stake of 51 percent in InsideGamer Sanoma Uitgevers Young. Later, both websites work together in the channel Games, Lifestyle and Entertainment at Sanoma Uitgevers to be found. At ReShift will Gamer and InsideGamer together with Power Unlimited the Gaming/Entertainment-branch forms.
