New owner Free Record Shop trying 16 stores to keep open

The curator of the bankrupt Free Record Shop has parts of the former retail chain sold to Boekenvoordeel, a company that cheap books sell. The owner would try to of the 36 shops there is still sixteen to keep it open.

The retail chain Free Record Shop was at the end of april again declared bankrupt, after which it was decided to have all of the stores in the Netherlands provisionally close. Nevertheless, the insolvency administrator looking for a new start. That now seems to be found: NOS reports that Boekenvoordeel various parts of Free Record Shop to get your hands on, including the brand name, customer base, the websites and the 36 stores that were left after the first bankruptcy.

The Boekenvoordeel-chain that currently has 120 stores in his hands, trying to get sixteen branches of Free Record Shop to keep it open. There would be approximately thirty persons at work can stay. Or the name Free Record Shop is maintained is not yet clear.

Free Record Shop was the last few years, more often in the problems, partly due to the collapsed demand for cds. The company made in may 2013 a go-around, but went up last month in a leaner form again bankrupt.
