Image shows possible first Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone from LG

Beroepslekker Evleaks has an image posted online of a new LG smartphone running Windows Phone 8.1 is running. The device would be named Uni8 wear. In the render, the device seems to be the smartphone, not about the hardware buttons on the front.

In February, Microsoft during the telecombeurs Mobile World Congress to know that for sure nine brands with new Windows Phone devices, including Lenovo, LG and ZTE. LG was after this communication, on the plain about his plans for a Windows Phone device, but from a published render of Evleaks, it seems clear that LG is working on a smartphone based on Windows Phone 8.1 is running.

The new device from LG would be the indication of the Uni8. It is unclear yet how big the screen is and what soc will be used, while there are also other specifications, nothing is known. The Uni8 is not the first Windows Phone device from LG; The company also made the Optimus 7 E900. This smartphone was introduced in 2010 and running on Windows Phone 7.5. LG, however, focuses primarily on the release of Android-devices.

Update Wednesday, 14.45: it is Likely to be a hoax. The image on the unit shows a default WP 8.1-screenshot.
