Nokia will start at the end of January in the Netherlands with the delivery of its first Lumia smartphone with quadcoreprocessor, so has the manufacturer published. The Lumia 1520 will get for the loose sale at a suggested retail price of 679 euro.

The Lumia 1520 features a 6″-lcd with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The dimensions are 16,2×8,5 cm, with which the unit is competing against large smartphones from other manufacturers like the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Sony Xperia Z Ultra. It is also the first Lumia with a quad-core: the 1520 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800-soc with four Krait 400-processor cores at 2.3 GHz and an Adreno 330 gpu. The Lumia 1520 is 8.6 mm thick and weighs 209 grams.

One of the features that Nokia is trying to distinguish is the camera: the phone features a 20 megapixel camera with PureView display with functionality similar to that of the Lumia 1020. The camera of the Lumia 1520 allows, for example, two pictures at a time, after which the user at a later time, one can zoom in without that the resolution becomes lower.

The Nokia Lumia 1520 will be available in late January 2014 in red and black available for a suggested retail price of 679 euro. Some Dutch webshops offer the white and yellow variants also, where they have a delivery time of early January report, but that information is correct regarding the official Dutch offering is not, let Nokia to Tweakers know.
