Samsung develops according to rumors it’s own version of the Google Glass eyewear and want this next year under the brand name ‘Gear Glass’ on the market. In the spring the glasses of the Korean company appear.
That claims at least Eldar Murtazin, a Russian telecomwatcher that often all the latest telecom news correctly, first. The timing of this spring may coincide with the successor of the Galaxy S4; Samsung brings its Galaxy S devices invariably in the spring. The Korean company would release a new product to the Gear line of wearable tech devices to add. In that line is the Galaxy Gear already appeared, together with the Note 3.
Google itself has currently only the Explorer Edition of Glass was released for a limited group of users, but the group is planning the ‘glasses’ in 2014 at the consumer market, though it will in the first instance waarschijnlijjk only in the US. Unclear whether the Gear Glass on the same platform as Google Glass is running; the name seems however to refer.
There are more manufacturers that are already Google-Glass-alternatives to work, such as Vuzix and Olympus, while there are also rumours that LG with their own variant.
