Asustor announces four new entry-level nas systems are divided into two series. With the nas systems, it is possible to create a personal cloud and, with the slightly higher instapsystemen, also possible to use a hdmi connection play media.
The new AS 2 series from Asustor is targeting the business market as well as home users and can be subdivided into two subseries. Which series are the AS-20XT, with the two models AS-202T and AS-204T, AS-20XTE-series, with two models: the AS-202TE and AS-204TE. The first is intended for the essential functions to a personal cloud, the second is in addition, for the playback of media content via hdmi.
The new devices from Asustor works on Intel Atom dualcores that their work at 1.2 GHz. The AS-20XT series have to make do with 512MB ddr3 and up, depending on model, 8 or 16TB of hard disk space lost. Furthermore, both models have usb 3.0 ports and support for single disk, jbod, and raid 0/1/5/6/10.
The AS-20XTE-series has an hdmi and audio jack connection, and an infrared receiver, to the digital entertainmentfunctionaliteit as possible. In addition, the AS-20XTE twice as much ram as the AS-20XT. The storage capacity, with a maximum of 16TB, the same. How many different nas systems cost, is not disclosed.
By default, all nas systems are equipped with the own operating system of the Asustor. Thus, it is possible to back-ups, the nas via ftp to achieve, it apps to search and install and the nas remotely via a smartphone to operate and use.
