Nvidia announces Quadro K6000-graphics card to

Nvidia has a new flagship of its Quadro line announced. The Quadro K6000 is built around the GK110 gpu which all of the functionality that the chip provides is activated. The card for graphics workstations are designed, in the autumn of this year.

The Quadro K5000, which earlier this year was announced, like the new K6000 with a Kepler-gpu-equipped, but in this earlier model, the GK104 gpu which is also in for example the GeForce GTX 770. The Quadro K6000 is the new top model, and this card contains the GK110 gpu. This chip used Nvidia for the GTX 780 and the GTX Titan, which, respectively, 3GB, and 6GB memory. The memory size is in the Quadro will be increased to 12GB of gddr5.

In addition, now all 15 smx units activated, resulting in a total of 2880 cudacores. The computing power of the K6000 is according to Nvidia of 5.2 teraflops, compared to 2.1 teraflops of the K5000.
