Samsung at an event in London the Ativ Tab 3 unveiled. This Windows 8 tablet has a 10.1″screen and includes an Atom soc from Intel. Samsung brings the tablet at the end of August in the Netherlands on the market.

The Samsung Ativ Tab 3 is the little brother of the Ativ Tab 5, which, until recently, as the Ativ Smart PC by the life. The specifications of which are somewhat similar, although Samsung does not have a keyboard for the Ativ Tab 3. Is the S-Pen stylus, which can be put away in the device. It is a Windows 8 tablet with Atom Z2760-soc from Intel, which has a clock speed of 1.8 GHz. The screen diagonal is 10.1 inches and the resolution is 1366×768, while the specified brightness 400 nits.

There is 2GB of economical lpddr2-memory and the storage is provided by emmc memory with a quantity of 64GB. The weight is 550 grams and the thickness of the tablet is 8,2 mm. What connections there’s a micro-usb 2.0 port, micro-hdmi interface and a micro-sd card reader is present. In addition, there is support for bluetooth 4.0 and wi-fi-n, where the latter, by a network adapter with 2×2 mimo support is provided. On the images is also a sim card slot for 3g connections, but it is not known whether these Dutch models are also functional. The battery capacity is 25.6 Wh and keeps the tablet according to Samsung 10 hours of full, though it is not known which gebruikersscenario this should be.

The Ativ Tab 3 has a price of 629 euros as at the end of August in the sale. The tablet comes only in white available.
