Nvidia has a new generation of gpus based on the Kepler architecture for multimedia and gaminglaptops announced. The GeForce GTX 700M series of the company is expanded to four models: the GTX 760M, 765M, 770M and 780M.

In early april, Nvidia’s low-endgpu’s in the 700M-line, and now, four more powerful videochips on the same line is added. The fastest card is the GTX 780M, which is in contrast to the GTX 680M a full-fledged GK104, with all 1536 cudacores enabled. The clock speed of the GTX 780M is 823MHz, that automatic can be increased through the Boost technology, and through the 256-bit wide bus to communicate the chip with 4GB of gddr5 memory.

The other three newcomers around the GK106 chip and built and Nvidia used these chips already with the GTX 670MX and 675MX. The GTX 765M and the 770M, however, have higher clock speed than their respective predecessors, GTX 670MX and 675MX. The GTX 760M in turn has a lower clock speed than the GTX 660M but it is the number of cudacores doubled, from 384 to 768. According to Nvidia, the new generation is on average 30 percent faster in games than the previous.

The first laptops with the gpus will soon be available and probably these releases coincide with Intel’s Haswell generation of processors, of which the quadcores as first expected.
