MS provides free Office programs for small Windows 8 tablets

Windows 8 tablets with schermdiagonalen of 7 and 8 inch are standard with MS Office programs, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and OneNote included, as has Microsoft during the Computex announced. Tablets with Windows RT will default to Outlook.

The advent of the MS Office programs to the small tablets was announced by the chief marketing officer of Microsoft, Tami Reller, during a keynote from Microsoft at Computex. The Verge reports that the Office programs are only free to be included with the smaller sizes of tablets, such as 7″ and 8″models.

Microsoft would with the action the cost of the smaller tablets down want to make this more attractive priced. So far, only Acer is indicated with a small 8″ Windows 8 tablet.

Windows RT tablets from the Windows 8.1 update for free Outlook included. These tablets are standard equipped with Office RT, a slightly customized version of Office that stripped-down versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote exists, but where Outlook is not yet part of it was. These versions should not, however, officially not to be used commercially.
