Asus comes with a 7″Android tablet for $ 129

Asus has during its Computex press conference, a new 7″-Android-tablet-announced that only $ 129 it will cost. The MemoPad HD 7 has quadcore-soc MediaTek and has a screen resolution of 1280×800 pixels.

Appearance, the new tablet is a lot like Asus’ own Nexus 7, though the back is now a shiny type of plastic rather than rigid plastic. Both the power button as the volume buttons sit again on the right side of the device. New in comparison with the Nexus 7 is the presence of a 5-megapixel camera on the back. This is not equipped with a flash. The tablet is also equipped with a micro-sd slot with which the memory can be extended.

The 7″touchscreen has a resolution of 1280×800 pixels and uses ips technology for good viewing angles. The used system-on-a-chip is the 8125 from MediaTek, a quad-core design based on the efficient Cortex A7-processor architecture.
