Sony released its latest compact camera in the Cybershot series released. The HX50 would, according to Sony the world’s smallest and lightest camera with an optical zoom range of 30x. The unit is from may also available in the Netherlands.
The new compact camera is available in two variants, with and without a built-in gps module. The HX50 is without gps, and delivered cost, in black or silver, 420 euros; the HX50V has gps on board and costs 440 euro. The camera weighs, including NP-BX1-battery, 272 grams; the battery can be charged via a usb cable charge and should take about four hundred shots on a full charge. The HX50 is 108,1 mm wide, 63,6 mm and 38.3 mm deep and has a 3″display with 921.600 pixels. A hotshoe, the input for remote controls and wheels for settings are on top of made.
The most important feature of the HX50 is, however, the optically stabilized zoom lens with a zoom range of 30x the equivalent of 24mm to 720mm. The brightness of the lens is f/3.5 at wide angle to f/6.3 in the telephoto range. The eleven elements existing G Lens is for a 1/2,3″-Exmor R cmos-sensor with 20,4 megapixels. The HX50 would be twice as fast to focus as the predecessor, the HX200V, which also a zoom range of 30x, but a much bigger enclosure. The HX20V has a similar casing, but with 20x zoom. 
A Bionz image processor ensures the processing of the images, where the iso range of iso 80 to iso 3200. The HX50 features include face detection and hdr support. The camera can take pictures with auto scene selection, but can also manually be operated by means of a wheel can the exposure compensation to be dialed. In addition to still photos, the HX50 also video in full hd resolution with 50fps shooting. Shot material can be through a wi-fi connection to ios – and android-devices will be sent, which the PlayMemories app installed. The device can be pre-ordered, but it is only recently, in may delivered.
