From answering by the Labour party tabled parliamentary Questions show that the government does not intend to re-grant to give solar panels. The scheme was, in 2012, abolished, and, according to the government work in the market for solar panels and did not intervene.

The Questions followed as a result of a research which showed that a majority of the people in the installation of solar panels in new homes mandatory. The government would, according to the Labour party to be able to jump by making arrangements with the construction and energy industries. This would then lead to an increase of the share of solar electricity in the energy market, something which the Netherlands is lagging behind.

According to minister Henk Kamp last year was clear from discussions with the industry to subsidise solar panels disturb the market can work. Make appointments with construction companies and companies in the energy sector would, therefore, also the market can disrupt, according to Camp. Therefore, it is plausible that the subsidy for solar panels, which in 2012 was discontinued, not will come back. Also, the government seems to the installation of solar panels in new homes is therefore not required.

“The market is functioning at this moment actually very good. I see no reason for them to intervene,” said the Minister of Economic Affairs. In particular, the Chinese companies have in recent years emerged in the market for solar panels. Incidentally, have alleged ‘dumppraktijken’ of Chinese manufacturers there, however, meant that European makers of solar panels in financial difficulties. The EU is currently investigating whether the Chinese manufacturers by offering solar panels at below cost break the rules. The companies would in fact be subsidised by the Chinese government.
