Google sells Groupon competitor DailyDeal again

Just 17 months after the DailyDeal co-founders their company to Google were selling, they have DailyDeal bought back. In september 2011, Google the company, probably to compete with the popular kortingsbonnensite Groupon.

DailyDeal founders Fabian and Ferry Heilemann have, according to Silicon Allee announced that the company have repurchased. It is not known what they Google for that have paid. A spokesman for DailyDeal told Silicon Allee that in the future they want to go further with the selling of coupons. Or the website wants to expand to other countries, is not yet clear. The Next Web reported in 2009 that DailyDeals would like to extend to the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium and Scandinavia, but that has not yet happened.
