Fractal Design has released the successor of its Arc-housing ge lwa site. The Arc Midi R2 offers depending on the configuration place on seven fans, an extra large psu and a maximum of eight hard disk drives. There is also a window to the inside.
The cabinet is only available in black and has eight 3.5-inch drives, just like its predecessor the hard drives is built in two drivecages. The drivecages, one of the three slots and one of five, to rotate, and at various places in the cabinet position. Depending on the placement and rotation, there is place for an extra long video card, and there can be at the front of the cabinet with a 240mm fan, or a psu of 270mm deep) can be placed.
In the cabinet are three Silent Series R2 fans 140mm that comes with the front, behind and at the top of the cupboard. On the bottom rear of the cabinet are two 120mm fans, while the top and behind the front panel, place for 240mm fans. This is the last place to place if room is made by one of the drivecages different position.
The midtowerbehuizing measure 230x460x515 millimeters and weighs 10.7 kilograms. According to Fractal Design, there is behind the motherboard, additional space is created for the cables and two 2.5″drives. There are also the top two bays for 5.25″bays. To the front of the top panel are two usb 3.0 connectors, a light for hdd activity, an audio in – and output and a fan controller that allows up to three fans can be controlled. The cabinet is in America, $ 110 costs and is available from march.
