Philips brings dualsim-smartphone with Android 4.0 on the market

Philips has a new top model in its Xenium line of smartphones announced. It comes to the W832, a smartphone with a 4.5″screen, two sim cards can be provided and that Android 4.0 is running. This is probably the device only in China and Russia.

The W832 has a ips screen with a resolution of 960×540 pixels. The processor is MT6577 from MediaTek, which is built around a Cortex A9 core and a clock speed of 1GHz. Philips provides the device from Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The unit can have two sim cards, of which, however, but a then 3g supports.

The Xenium W832 has a standard 4GB of memory, which may be expanded through the available sd-card-reader. Furthermore, there are, among others, an 8-megapixel camera and support for wi-fi, bluetooth 2.1 + edr and hsdpa. The battery capacity is 2400mAh. According to the manufacturer, allows a talk time of 11 hours or 9 hours of surfing the web possible. Also advertises Philips with the ability to press a button on the side wi-fi, gps and bluetooth off, and screen dimming to save energy. There is a grey and a silver variant. Philips brings its Xenium phones only for now in China and Russia. The price is still unknown.
