European Commission robotics industry to stimulate

The European Commission has launched a new partnership to stimulate the development of the European robotics industry announced. The commission will be working with both companies and universities and research institutes.

The project has as goal the position of European companies on the international roboticamarkt to strengthen. In addition, searches for ways to robots in solving social problems in Europe. Also, there will be within the project for studies into the various ethical and legal issues that have a role in increased use of robots in the society. The project is headed by the Dutch commissioner Neelie Kroes.

The parties who now have a collaboration agreement was signed, is also the University of Eindhoven. The involved parties are now a proposal for the partnership to develop. The expectation is that the project in 2013.
