SIM2 announces 4k projector

SIM2, maker of high-end projectors at the Cedia Expo 2012 trade show in Indianapolis, its first 4k projector announced. The SIM2 CinemaQuatro makes use of three 4k dlp chips and has a light output of 20,000 lumens.

The CinemaQuattro projector by SIM2 use of the 4k dlp technology Christie and is equipped with three of 1.38″-dlp chips with a resolution of 4096 by 2160 pixels, the same resolution as 4k projectors from Sony and Barco. Just like that 4k projector is the CinemaQuattro of SIM2 intended for a high-quality thuisbioscoopopstelling and he will only be offered through a select number of dealers. The 4k projector will be available from the fourth quarter, but there is still no price is known.

The CinemaQuattro has a very high light output, up to 20,000 ansi lumens, and can therefore be a good home theater to operate. For comparison: Sony’s 4k projector for consumers, the VPL-VW1000ES, has only one-tenth of the light output of the CinemaQuattro. Sony however provides more powerful models, but those are more intended for cinemas. The 4k projector has SIM2’s Triple Flash 3D technology on board, a xenon lamp which is replaced by the user and remote monitoring capabilities.
