Sony begins selling Google TV In the Netherlands

Sony has started the sales of its set-top box with Google TV in the Netherlands. The 200 euro-dollar set-top box is the first hardware with Google TV that is for sale in the Netherlands. The first deliveries should be mid-August onwards.

Previously, it seemed that there were Sony’s Google TV set-top box at the end of August in the Netherlands would sell, but Friday is Sony to say that started with the sale of the hardware. The NSZ-GS7 will cost 200 euros.

The set-top box via hdmi on a tv are connected, while the internet connection is through wi-fi. The GS7 comes with a remote control with touch pad a pointer control, and through lists to scroll. Also, there is a full keyboard. The GS7 was together with a blu-ray player with Google TV in early January at the consumer electronics show CES announced.

Google TV as the iptv platform for tv’s was already at the end of 2010 in the United States, released, supported among others by Logitech with the Revu media player and Sony with both a tv line as a Google TV box for under the tv. It brought not the success that Google and its partners had hoped. Google revamped the system, however, and made sure that access to the online app store of Google guaranteed.
