Microsoft gives Android technology is licensed to Pegatron

Microsoft has a number of licenses to patents sold to the Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Pegatron. Microsoft holds several patents on technology used in the Android operating system and the Chrome browser.

The deal with Pegatron is the fourth that Microsoft shut down with a major Taiwanese manufacturer. Among others, HTC and LG already have such a license. Pegatron is a so-called odm, electronics and produces for Apple, HTC, and HP. All of the manufacturers that a tablet, smartphone or e-reader produce with Chrome or Android, to use technology that Microsoft has patented, and should be the Redmondse company to pay for a license.

There are few details known about the deal. So it is not known on which patented technology to exactly, nor how much Pegatron have to pay for the licenses.
