Microsoft develops Skype for browsers in html5

Microsoft is going to be a Skype version for browsers developing in html5 and javascript. The softwarebouwer has several vacancies published for functions that have to do with the “Skype for Browsers” project.

Four job advertisements over the past two months make mention of a “Skype for Browsers” project: Microsoft is looking for three developers and a kwaliteitstester for the software. The user-interface would be in html5 and javascript can be programmed. That may indicate that Microsoft has its own Flash alternative, Silverlight, are not going to use, which is in line with Microsoft’s earlier ruling more attention to give to html5. Microsoft also requires a knowledge of C++, C#, and Java. It is not clear whether Microsoft is already working on the development.

Microsoft has Skype in the summer of 2011 bought. Since then, the biggest developments for the integration of Skype in Facebook and a Skype app for Windows Phone. The video and belapplicatie had in 2010, globally, approximately 660 million registered users.
