Nokia service enables people to ‘talk’ via nfc

Nokia is coming in the future with a service that lets people messages able to type on their phone, and the message is using nfc is transferred to another phone and at the same time translated for the recipient of the message.

The service is called for now Nokia Hello, at least, that had the manufacturer on the own blog up and removed. The service is a combination of two existing techniques, namely the transfer of data via nfc and the translation of the text on a phone. Probably is a local translation engine used and there is no need for internet connection.

Nokia Hello, only works with short phrases, for example greetings and simple things, such as the manner in which the user drinks his morning coffee. By which phrases for to program in the phone, using nfc a conversation with someone who speaks a different language. Colleagues have estimated to be of the Nokia researchers in the Finnish city of Tampere, from 2015 no longer speaking with each other. The app is mainly intended for companies, where employees in some cases may not understand.

It is unclear when Nokia Hello comes out. The app is supposedly compatible with all of Nokia’s that support nfc, such as the Symbian smartphone C7. At release appears Hello in downloadwinkel Nokia Store.
