HTC gives Sensation-line soon update to Android 4.0

HTC provides Dutch users of the Sensation, the Sensation XE and the Sensation XL soon of an update to Android 4.0 ICS. On 1 march there will be also a white Sensation, where Android 4.0 is already ge lwa installed.

For the update of existing devices called HTC no-term; the manufacturer has only said that ‘soon’ will take place. The update would over-the-air to users. It is still unclear whether the devices with the update to ICS also immediately be equipped with Sense 4.0.

New features in the Android 4.0 version of HTC Sense is still little known; HTC has just let you know that the shortcuts at the bottom of the screen by the user can be adjusted. Recently there appeared images of the new version of Sense; it was found that the appearance, the colours and the schermanimaties differ from both Android 4.0 and the current versions of Sense.

HTC released the Sensation last year in June with Android 2.3. Last autumn came the Sensation XE and the Sensation XL. The Sensation runs on a Qualcomm MSM8260 dual-core-soc with a clock speed of 1.2 GHz. The gpu is an Adreno 220. The phone has a 4.3″lcd with a resolution of 960×540 pixels. The camera has a maximum resolution of 8 megapixels, and shoots videos at 1080p with 30fps.

The manufacturer will be this spring, next to the white Sensation, probably also new models release. That will, in all likelihood, on the telecombeurs Mobile World Congress at the end of this month in Barcelona takes place, are presented.

The white Sensation will come with Android 4.0, but the screenshot on the persafbeelding is the same as that of the original Sensation last year, and thus shows not HTC Sense on Android 4.0
