Fashion brand Prada presents thin Android smartphone

Fashion brand Prada has during a private event in London, its first Android-powered smartphone presented. The device, made by LG, has a 4.3″screen and Android 2.3 as operating system, with a for Prada developed skin.

Although LG, the phone has developed, is the name of the Korean manufacturer, you can barely see on the housing; just below the logo in transparent letters, noticed tweakers AndreStarTrek. Instead, it is featured on the front and back the name of fashion brand Prada. The Prada 3.0 runs on a Texas Instruments Omap4430, a dual-core-soc with a clock speed of 1GHz. The same soc is running in the LG Optimus 3D and Motorola Razr.

The screen of the Prada 3.0 has a diagonal of 4.3″ and a resolution of 800×480 pixels. The screen is LG’s Nova-type. The Nova display that LG has previously used in its Optimus Black, has a maximum brightness of 800 nits, and thereby better readable in bright sunlight. In addition, the ips-lcd color better than other screens, claims LG.

The device with a thickness of 8.5 mm as thin as the Samsung Galaxy S II. The Prada however, unlike the S II is not thickening. The camera has a maximum resolution of 8 megapixels and can record videos in 1080p resolution.

Prada also has the look of Android 2.3 to adjust. The software is similar to that of LG, but instead of the colourful interface of the Korean manufacturer characterizes the skin characterized by dark colors, with white and grey icons. The Android smartphone will be out in early 2012 hatch. The phone also comes to the Netherlands is unclear.
