Microsoft has a service for the search of videos taken over. Reportedly, the software company 70 million dollars paid for VideoSurf. The search service will now probably be in the Bing search engine to be included.

VideoSurf is a metasearch engine that gives search in the videodatabases from YouTube, Hulu, CNN, TMZ, Metacafe, Fancast, Comedy Central, and Dailymotion. The company claims to use proprietary algorithms for the indexing of images. The service was founded in 2006 and among other things, the coo of Facebook and Al Gore had invested in the company from California.

The acquisition is still not officially announced, but the Israeli newspaper Calcalist reported about it, while TechCrunch acquisition has been confirmed. The site considers it likely that VideoSurf integrated into Bing. The amount of video sites that Bing now searches, is limited and restricted to the American version.
