OCZ introduces Deneva 2 and Intrepid ssds for oems

OCZ released its latest solid state drives for business use, released. The Deneva 2 series, and the Intrepid-ssds are both in the compact msata format cast and be to oem’s supplied for use in embedded equipment.

The ssds for the oem’s must make their way to tablets, laptops, and compact servers. The msata ssds are shipped without enclosure, which is a weight savings compared to ordinary ssds and hard drives produces. Both series solid state drives use the sata-300 interface; the Deneva 2 has a SandForce controller on board, while the Intrepid by a Indilinx controlled.

The Deneva 2 series in capacities of 30GB, 60GB and 120GB delivered and has a weight of just six grams. The dimensions of the msata ssd amounts 29,85 with 50,9 to 4,75 mm and the absorbed power varies from 0.5 W idle up to 1.7 W of the load. The SF2141 or SF2181 controller sends mlc-memory 20 and 29nm is baked.

Intrepid-ssds are less known specifications, but the controller is equipped with Indilinx Arowana firmware. The lifetime of mlc memory in the Intrepid-ssds is optimized by Indilinx’ Ndurance Technology. Prices of both series ssd’s are obviously not available.
