Motorola presents budgetsmartphone Fire XT

Motorola has a new, cheap Android smartphone for the European market are presented. The Fire XT has a 3.5″screen with a resolution of 320×480 pixels, has a front-facing camera and coming this fall.

The smartphone from Motorola measures 114x62x12mm and weighs 114 grams. The device is equipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, though it is unclear which version exactly is running on. In contrast to previous models, there is no Motoblur on the device, but an interface Moto Switch. That would make it possible to have different sets of desktops to manage, such as, for example, HTC in Sense to do with Scenes.

The device has a 3.5″screen by Motorola as ‘extra bright’ is touted. The device runs on a processor with a clock speed of 800Mhz. It is not known to what processor it is, but other Motorola’s walk, mostly on the Omap3 cpus from Texas Instruments, an soc with a Cortex A8 core. The Fire XT comes this fall, but it is not yet known whether the device is issued in the Netherlands.
