The Cave Monastery Lavra Pechersk, Ukraine

The decision was extremely tight. With a wafer-thin lead to the Video of Denys Kushnarov was in the Jury – 1st place!

Our audience lives in Kiev in the Ukraine. He introduces us to the cave monastery Lavra Pechersk, in the heart of the city, one of the seven world heritage sites in the Ukraine.The monastery was founded in the 11. Century by the hermit monk St. Anthony was founded. Today it is considered one of the most important Orthodox shrines.

Since 1990, the cave monastery, together with the Kiev Sophia Cathedral, a UNESCO world heritage site.
