I have this router, bought for a holiday without a fixed internet connection. The installation is easy, straight on. Sim card in and go.

Pros

  • Compact router
  • Good stable 4G connection
  • External antennas connecting possible

Cons

  • Interface/logging pretty basic for me as a tweaker

Final conclusion

Reliability

The only misstep was that the Quick Setup does not detect that the SIM card has a PIN code. So I had first Advanced the APN settings, etc set. That turned out to be not necessary: after I in the Basic Setup the PIN code had completed everything worked automatically.

I have all of the features tried, and if it works fine. About the 4G speed I have nothing to complain: about 35 Mbps up and down. Also the Wifi range on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz just fine.

I have a lot of time sitting to fool around with the IPSec client. Via Vodafone I got the authentication (AH) to the talk, but not the dates (ESP). Other side was stongSwan on Debian Linux. It turned out to Vodafone. At least, with a KPN SIM does everything well. It was, therefore, iig not on the router, although something more/settings / logging for IPSec hading had been.
