Acer has two new 27″monitors announced which are aimed at gamers. A model is equipped with support for Nvidia’s G-Sync technology while the other model is distinguished by almost no bezel.

The monitor with G-Sync carries a model number of XB270HU and has, according to Acer first monitor, a panel of the ips type that Nvidia’s technology supports. G-Sync is meant to stuttering and tearing of the image and also the inputlag reduce. Most monitors that support the technology have still a tn panel. According to Acer, the XB270HU a diagonal of 27″ and a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels.

The viewing angles of the panel amounts to 178 degrees and the refresh rate is 144Hz. That last suggests that Acer ahva panels used AU Optronics in september announced. Although it is strictly speaking not a ips panels, would this have similar performance in terms of image quality.

Furthermore, the manufacturer with a 27″monitor that is described as frameless. That is to say that there are hardly any bezels. Also this model, with type number XG270HU, has a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. However, it is not the first frameless 27″monitor that Acer announced: in september, the manufacturer, even though with such a model.

Both monitors come in march on the market. What is the price for both models is not yet clear. That depends on the country where the monitors will be released: according to Acer they are available worldwide.

In may, it announced that Acer already has a monitor with G-Sync technology. This XB280HK was, according to Acer, the first panel, a uhd-resolution with G-Sync combined. Now shields Acer so with the first ips-monitor G-Sync does.
