In the run-up of ‘Star Wars Day’ on the fourth of may, built Lego Masters and Christ Steininger the world’s largest Millennium Falcon out of Lego bricks ever. In addition to Han Solo’s ship, they built two TIE Fighter-ruimtejagers

The American father and son Steiniger were by Lego Australia specially flown in to Star Wars Day to celebrate. On two and three may were the two in the Westfield Southland shopping centre in Melbourne, together with the public a model of the Millennium Falcon to build.

The model has a diameter of almost five meters and consists of about 250,000 lego bricks. The TIE Fighters exist per piece from about 80,000 stones and are two metres high. Normal cost of building such large models more than a week, but by the help of the public, it could be a lot faster.

One of the challenges was that the model is broad and encompassing, Then says Steiningerop Cnet. “Normally a large, LEGO-models upright, so this was both an exciting and challenging experience for Chris and myself. It was also very inspiring to thousands of Melbournians to see come together to help this iconic Star Wars vehicle to build.”

The models continue to may 10, at the mall.
