I don’t know where I should start. Of course, developers learn the consoles are getting better know and so they are increasingly capable of good games. At this E3, there are, however, very, very much. The highlight of the day, I find, is also hard to pinpoint. My session with Killzone 3 was impressive. The level where you use a jetpack to get started is great and very spectacular. Especially the passage in which you have to battle three enemies that also has a jetpack, is exciting and so fun to play.

Killzone 3 is, partly because of Dutch workmanship, a little bit of my highlight. However, there are many games that just as well could have been. So, I have a presentations, seen from Call of Duty: Black Ops and Gears of War 3. Black Ops will top Call of Duty so overwhelming and spectacular, but with a more tactical undertones. (You can read later this week, read more in the preview. Gears of War 3 is going to more or less continue where part two left off. New Beast-mode, which works the same as Horde, but from the perspective of the monstrous Locust. The player must choose a Game type and then have as many forts of humanity. Each time if that is successful, the next to take the basis of something more secure. Sounds good.

Finally, some honorable mentions. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II: never was the power of the Jedi and the Force so strongly to the fore. Gran Turismo 5: unrelentingly hard. Steer and brake at the same time? Bad plan. It is a car simulation, so that means – with cars that are not for a circuit are created – creeping in the corners… Expects all these games in the next week’s previews!

It is indeed difficult to highlights to mention in the plethora of games. Also I will go for Killzone 3. I’ve seen it, played, and any personal remarks received from Hermen Hulst, the managing director of the Amsterdam based Guerrilla Games. Almost everything is impressive to the game. It is intense, it looks good and it’s huge. So are the levels in the game is a lot bigger than in the predecessor, allowing the player more freedom of choice. Now you can via different routes get you to your goal. That the game is so good looks is due to the improvements that the programmers of Guerrilla to the engine have been made. So has the game now four different streaming systems, including a proprietary streaming system for audio. That last has the advantage that in Killzone 3 even the audio has a depth of field, making it sound a lot more realistic.

The game also has as advantage that it is in 3d can be played. The market for 3d games is small, but Killzone 3 is only at the beginning of 2011 and then there will be a lot more 3d tvs are sold. Killzone 3 is also one of the first games in this genre, which in 3d can be played.
