Tweakers.net and MSI to organize the preliminary rounds for the Masters of Overclocking Arena in the Benelux. Four teams will progress to the final in the Netherlands, after which they, via Paris, eventually in Taipei city may end.

Tweakers.net and MSI are also working this year to discuss the best overclockers from the Benelux to find, for the annual Masters Overclocking Arena event. The design is largely similar to that of last year, in which there is first a preliminary round is held on our Gathering of Tweakers forum. All overclockers are welcome to participate, but the requirements are high.

The preliminaries consist of the drop as quickly as possible SuperPi 1M time, and achieve a high score in the AquaMark 3 test. Almost all resources are allowed, such as liquid nitrogen, but there must also be hardware to be used from any manufacturer. The only restriction is the use of so-called Engineering Samples. All the rules that must be met can be consulted on the forum.

As soon as the four winners of the preliminary rounds are known, they will be on 28 may with a partner to be invited to the office of MSI to compete in the European final in Paris. The exact specifications of the hardware which will be used are still not completely fixed, but it is true that overclocked is going to be on MSI’s recently announced Xpower X58 motherboard. The video card will probably be a MSI GTX 480, while Corsair for the other hardware. The four teams at the office of MSI their overklokkunsten exhibit, regardless of their performance, Xpower motherboard to take home.

From the finals, at the office of MSI a winner will be chosen, which is the honor in Paris high will have to keep compared to many other European teams. During that finale there will be the 3DMark Vantage benchmark. The winner in Paris will then move on to the real finale, in Taipei, Taiwan.
