Apple has no reports had victims Masque-attack

Apple says no reports have been from users who actually have been victims of the Monday discovered Masque attack. This attack allows an attacker to an authentic iOS-application to be replaced by a rogue program.

Apple gave a statement about the attack, which last week in the news, Apple fansite iMore. “We encourage customers to only download from trusted sources like the App Store and to pay attention to warnings as they download apps. Business users who run custom apps install must do so through the secure website of their company.” For this last opinion, the company has a special website was put online.

Apple gives the same advice as FireEye, the security company that the attack on Monday brought out. According to that operation, the attack is already in the wild, but unknown is whether there are also all victims. The attack works in combination with iOS 7.1.1, 7.1.2, 8.0, 8.1 and 8.1.1 beta. It doesn’t matter whether Apple’s software is cracked or not and all official applications from the App Store are to replace, except the software that Apple includes on iOS devices.
