The website of the Public Prosecutor is given a special disclaimer to indicate explicitly that the word ‘hack’ in some cases in the meaning of ‘criminal hacking’, and in some cases, in the sense of the search of the limits of the technique used.
According to minister Opstelten of Security and Justice used the term ‘hacker’ in multiple meanings. The ministry makes the distinction between the criminal and general meaning, according to him, sufficiently clear because of the context in which it is used. “In cases where the context is not clear, speaks TO her public expressions of “criminal hackers” or “criminals'” writes Opstelten. “On-site by means of a disclaimer even explicitly stated that hacking in this sense is meant to be.”
