Germany earlier this month to a record dropped on the field of solar energy. On 9 June was more than 50 percent of the elektriciteisbehoefte on that day produced by solar panels. Germany is the world leader in producing solar energy.

According to the Fraunhofer institute was there on 9 June to 23.1 gigawatts generated, reports Physorg. That was at that time, good for 50.6 percent of the country’s electricity. It should, however, be borne in that 9 June in Germany is a public holiday; it is well known that, on average, less electricity is consumed.

The generation from 23.1 gigawatts, meaning no record what is the largest power generated: a few days earlier, on 6 June, and raised Germany into the afternoon 24,24 gigawatts. In the same week was a total of 1.24 twh (terawatt hours) of electricity from solar panels is generated.

Germany is the world leader in the field of solar energy. That is mainly because the German government a lot of money has been allocated to subsidizing solar panels. The netherlands generates considerably less solar energy, and is also not in the list of significant producers of electricity from solar panels, with a share of the electricity needs of up to a few percent. However, the production of solar energy in the Netherlands.
